What it does
Heat, humidity, dew point and wind for each kilometre, at the time you’ll be there, and what it costs you in minutes. Heat stress when it matters.
Add your race, set your goal, and turn on live tracking. Share your link and picture; on the day people follow you on the map, with your goal as a ghost.
Run it before you run it: a 3D flyover of your route with the weather at your hour and the climbs ahead.
From their link or by name if they’re Findable. Where they are, their pace and their finish. No account needed.
Tap I’m in on your club’s runs and races. Each club race has its own live map on the day.
Each run’s forecast by email the evening before, so you know what to wear and when to start.
Install it
- Download
Tap Download for Android above on your phone. Chrome may say the file might be harmful: it says that about every app from outside Google Play. Tap Download anyway.
- Allow the install
Open the download. The first time, Android asks to allow installs from Chrome: tap Settings, switch on Allow from this source, then go back.
- Get past Google’s warning
Android may show Unsafe app blocked, because Google hasn’t seen an app from RunFast before. Don’t tap OK: that cancels the install. Tap More details, then Install anyway.

Follow a runner straight away, no account needed. To see your own runs, sign in with the same account as on runfast.tech or the iPhone.

Why does Android say it’s unsafe?
Google warns about every app installed from outside Google Play whose developer it hasn’t verified yet. This is RunFast’s own app, signed by RunFast.
Why isn’t it on Google Play?
Not yet. For now it downloads straight from runfast.tech: the same app, signed by RunFast.
How do I update it?
The app tells you when there’s a new version. Tap Update and it downloads and installs.
Does live tracking need anything else?
Allow location and notifications when you go live. If your phone closes apps to save battery (many Samsung phones do), set RunFast’s battery use to Unrestricted before race day: Settings → Apps → RunFast → Battery. See live tracking on Android.
Do my followers need the app?
No. Anyone with your link follows in any browser, on any phone or computer.
