Troubleshooting
Links that stopped working, nobody found by name, going live, no forecast yet, and how to reach us.
- Why does a runner’s link say it has been reset?The runner made a new follow link, so the old one stopped working for everyone who only had that one. Ask them to send you their new link, open it, and you’re following again. On runfast.tech, choose Remove it to clear the old link from your list.
- Why can’t I find a runner by name?Only runners who turned on Findable by anyone for a race show up in a name search, and it’s off unless they choose it. Check you’ve typed at least 3 letters of the name they use on RunFast. If they haven’t chosen it, ask them for their follow link instead: it works either way.
- Why can’t I go live?You can go live only on a race with Live tracking turned on, from the RunFast app on your phone, signed in to your account. If RunFast says live tracking is off, edit the race and turn it on. A casual run can’t go live: edit it and make it a race.
- Why is there no forecast for my run yet?Apple Weather forecasts reach 10 days ahead, so RunFast can’t show a run’s weather until it’s within 10 days. Pick an earlier day or start, or come back nearer the time. For the Comrades, Berlin, London and Boston, past race days show what the weather has been like in the meantime.
- How do I contact RunFast support?Use the contact form at runfast.tech/support/contact, or email hello@runfast.tech. Say what you tried, what happened and what you expected, and attach a screenshot, or the route file that won’t go in. A real person reads every message and replies by email.
