Why is there no forecast for my run yet?
Updated
Apple Weather forecasts reach 10 days ahead, so RunFast can’t show a run’s weather until it’s within 10 days. Pick an earlier day or start, or come back nearer the time. For the Comrades, Berlin, London and Boston, past race days show what the weather has been like in the meantime.
Messages you might see
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| “No forecast for that time yet.” | Part of the run is more than 10 days away. Pick an earlier day or start. |
| “Forecast opens 10 days out” | On a club page: the run’s weather appears 10 days before it. |
| “That run has already finished.” | The start you picked has passed. Pick a later start, or another day. |
| “Getting the forecast…” | It’s on its way. It takes a few seconds. |
| “Couldn’t get the forecast.” | Check your connection and try again in a moment. |
Why 10 days
RunFast’s forecasts come from Apple Weather, which reaches 10 days ahead. That’s why Map your run offers today and the next nine days. A long run that starts on the last day can run past the edge, so its later stretches have no forecast yet. See where the forecast comes from.
What to do meanwhile
- Save it as a casual run or a race with its date, and the forecast fills in once it’s within range. See adding a race.
- Turn on the evening-before email, and the final forecast comes to you. See the evening-before email.
- Racing the Comrades, Berlin, London or Boston? Choose Race days to see the weather of every race from 2015 to 2024 at your pace. See past race-day weather.
