Your runs
Casual runs and races, your Runs list, Past, Map your run, Strava, your pace, the evening-before email and Fly the route.
- What’s on my Runs list?Runs is what you’re running: your own casual runs and races, and the club runs and races you’ve tapped I’m in on. Races show your goal, and a red Live tracking dot while it’s on. Tap ⋯ on a card to open its forecast, share your live tracking, copy the link, edit it, or say you’re out.
- What’s the difference between a casual run and a race?A casual run is a route you run once or every week, with its weather at your pace and the forecast by email the evening before. A race is on one day at its gun time, and adds your goal, your own words for your share picture, and live tracking so people can follow you.
- How do I add a casual run?Choose New run, then Casual run. Drop in a GPX, FIT or TCX file or bring a route in from Strava, give it a name, choose Every week or Once, and set the start time and your pace. Choose Save the run, and its weather at your pace opens straight away.
- Where do my runs and races go when they’re over?A one-off run or race moves to Past, folded under your Runs list, the day after its date. Weekly runs never move. If you went live in a race and finished, Past shows your finish time against your goal, such as Finished in 3:58:12 · goal 4:00.
- How do I map a run and see its weather?Open runfast.tech/tool and drop in your route as a GPX, FIT or TCX file. Pick the day, your start time and your pace, and RunFast shows the weather cost, heat stress, feels like, dew point and rain for every kilometre, timed to when you’ll be there. It’s free, with no sign-up.
- Which route files work, and why won’t my GPX go in?RunFast takes GPX, FIT and TCX files, from Garmin, Coros, Komoot, Strava or your race’s website, for routes longer than 300 m and up to 250 km. If a file won’t go in, RunFast says why: export the route again, or split a very long one into shorter runs.
- How do I bring in routes and runs from Strava?Connect Strava from Account on runfast.tech, or from You in the app. Then, in Runs, choose Import from Strava, or Connect with Strava on the New run form, and pick one of your Strava routes or recent runs. Routes and runs you bring in from Strava stay private to you.
- How do I set my pace, and how are the hills timed?Use − and + beside Pace to set your average pace in minutes and seconds per km or per mile, in 5-second steps. RunFast spreads that pace over the hills, slower on the climbs and quicker on the descents, so your splits and the hour you reach each stretch match how you really run.
- How do I get my run’s forecast the evening before? In Map your run, type your email under Email me the final forecast: it arrives the evening before and two hours before you start, or every week. Your saved runs and races email you at 18:00 the evening before, and so does tapping I’m in on a club run or race.
- What is Fly the route?Fly the route is a 3D satellite flyover of your run, with the climbs and the weather at your pace along the way. Map a run, then tap Fly the route. Press play, change the speed, drag along the profile, and colour the route by effort, wind or climb.
