Is there a RunFast app for Android?

Yes. The RunFast app for Android has your runs and races, your clubs, live tracking to go live on race day, and following runners with alerts when they start, reach halfway and finish. It uses the same free account as runfast.tech: sign in with Google or your email and password. It’s free from runfast.tech/android.
Get it
RunFast for Android is out now, free from runfast.tech/android, with the steps to install it. It isn’t on Google Play yet.
What’s in it
Four tabs along the bottom:
- Runs: your casual runs and races, and the club ones you’re in, each with its weather at your pace. New run adds a casual run or a race, just like on the web. See your Runs list.
- Live: the runners you follow, on one map, from their link or by name. See what the live map shows.
- Clubs: your clubs, I’m in on their runs and races, and each club race’s live map. See joining your club’s runs.
- You: your followers and your follow link, units, appearance, notifications and your account.
Only in the app
- Going live on race day. Your phone sends your position while you run, with a notification showing that you’re live, and Pause and Stop. See live tracking on Android.
- Alerts when the runners you follow start, reach halfway and finish. See alerts.
- Your followers: see who follows you, accept requests and remove people. See your followers.
- Light or dark. See light and dark.
It’s free, and it needs Android 8 or newer.
Your account
The same account as on runfast.tech. On Android, sign in with Google, or your email and password.
Signed up on runfast.tech with Apple? Before you sign in on Android, open Account on runfast.tech and choose Add a password or Connect Google. See signing in.
Only following someone? Choose I’m following someone. You don’t need an account at all.
Going live: keep RunFast running
Some Android phones close apps in the background to save battery, which stops live tracking. Set RunFast’s battery use to unrestricted before race day. See live tracking on Android.
In your phone’s browser
Everything except going live, alerts and your followers also works in Chrome:
- The RunFast web app: your runs, races, clubs and live tracking settings.
- Map your run, with Fly the route and the forecast by email.
- Follow a runner from their link or by name.
