How do I share my live tracking?

Share it

First turn on Live tracking for the race. See turning on live tracking. Then:

• From the race’s live tracking card: under Share it with your picture, tap:
  • Share: your phone’s or computer’s share sheet, with the picture and your link, ready for Instagram, Messages, email or anywhere else.
  • Save the picture: keeps it in your photos or downloads, to post yourself.
  • WhatsApp: opens WhatsApp with your message and link.
• From Runs: tap ⋯ on the race’s card and choose Share my live tracking.

It works on runfast.tech and in the iPhone and Android apps.

What people get

• The picture: tall, for Instagram Stories and WhatsApp Status. Your photo and name, “Follow me live”, the race, its date and gun time, your goal, your own words, and the course.
• Your link: runfast.tech/f/ and your code. WhatsApp, X and Facebook show it with a preview picture of their own.
• The message: “Follow me live at” the race “on RunFast”, then your own words if you added some, then the link.

Add your photo first, so the picture shows you. See adding a profile photo.

Changed something?

If you change the race’s name, date, gun time, your goal or your words after the picture is made, it dims and says “You’ve made changes: the picture catches up when you share or save it.” Share and Save the picture save your changes first, then use the new picture.

Who can follow from it

Anyone with the link, in any browser or in the RunFast app, with no account. See following without an account.

• Before the gun: your goal, your words and a countdown to the start.
• During the race: where you are, your pace, your finish and how you’re doing against your goal.
• At the finish: your time against your goal.

To stop people with an old link following you, reset it. See your follow link.
