How do I switch between kilometres and miles?
Updated
On runfast.tech, open Account and choose Kilometres · °C or Miles · °F; in the app, open You. It’s one setting for you, saved to your account, so your runs, club pages, emails and Map your run follow it on every device you sign in on. Distance, pace, temperature and rain all switch together.
On runfast.tech
- Sign in at runfast.tech/app and open Account.
- Under Units, choose Kilometres · °C or Miles · °F.
It’s saved to your account, for your runs, club pages and Map your run, on every device you sign in on.
In Map your run
Beside Pace, tap km · °C or mi · °F. It works without signing in, and this browser remembers it.
In the iPhone and Android apps
Open You and, under Settings, choose km · °C or mi · °F beside Units.
What changes
| Kilometres · °C | Miles · °F | |
|---|---|---|
| Distance | km | miles |
| Pace | per km | per mile |
| The table | Kilometre by kilometre | Mile by mile |
| Temperature | °C | °F |
| Rain | mm | inches |
| Climbing | metres | feet |
Pages you open from a link
Signed in on the live page, you see the choice saved to your account. Otherwise live follow pages and club pages use the choice saved in that browser. If you’ve never chosen, RunFast goes by where your device is, from its time zone, so a phone in Johannesburg set to US English still sees kilometres: miles and °F in the United States, Liberia and Myanmar, miles and °C in the United Kingdom, and kilometres and °C everywhere else.
Your pace switches too
Your pace converts when you switch: 6:00 per km becomes about 9:40 per mile. Check it before your run, as RunFast rounds it to the nearest 5 seconds.
