How do I report or block someone?
Updated
Report any runner, club or run you find offensive, signed in or not. A person looks at every report within 24 hours. Block anyone who follows you or gives you a tap on the back.
RunFast is for cheering each other on. If someone isn’t, tell us, or block them.
Report a runner or a club
- A runner: open them (from their link, from Follow a runner, or on a race map), then tap Report at the bottom.
- A club: at the bottom of the club’s page, tap Report this club.
Pick what’s wrong, add a note if it helps, and send it. You don’t need to be signed in. A person looks at every report within 24 hours, and the person you report isn’t told who it was.
If someone may be in danger, call your local emergency number first.
Block someone
Block anyone who follows you or gives you a tap on the back:
- In the app: go to You → Followers, and next to the person, tap Remove, then Block. You can also block someone from your Taps on the back list.
- On the web: on your runs, open the race’s ⋯ menu, choose Your taps on the back, and tap Block next to the person.
Once you’ve blocked someone, they stop following you and can’t follow you again, and their taps on the back don’t reach you. They aren’t told. To undo it, tap Unblock in the same place.
What we check
A runner’s own words on a race are checked for slurs and abuse when they’re typed. Clubs are looked after by their managers, who can remove and block members. For anything else, report it and a person will look.
