What does RunFast keep about me?
Updated
Only what RunFast needs to work for you: your account, the runs and races you save, your clubs, the emails you ask for, and where you are only while you’re live on race day. None of it is sold or shared for advertising. The positions your phone sends while you’re live are deleted after 7 days.
Your account
Your name, email address, how you sign in, your units and when you joined, and your photo if you add one. Your password is held by Google Firebase Authentication, and RunFast never sees it.
Your runs and races
Each route you save, its name, whether it’s a casual run or a race, when you run it, your pace, and any start place or notes. For a race: your goal, your own words, your live tracking and Findable choices, and your finish time if you went live. A run’s link (runfast.tech/r/…) shows its route and weather to anyone you share it with. Runs from Strava stay private to you.
Clubs
A club’s managers see your name when you join. When you’re in for a club run or race, its members see your name and photo on it. Anyone who opens the club’s page sees how many are running, not who.
Live tracking
- RunFast knows where you are only while you’re live, from the RunFast app, on a race with live tracking on. See going live.
- Anyone with your link can follow you. Findable by anyone also lets people find you by name, and puts you on your club race’s live map. See Findable by anyone.
- The positions your phone sends are deleted after 7 days. A summary of each race you went live in (the line you ran and your finish time) stays with your account, for Past.
- Followers never get your email address or phone number.
- Positions are never used for anything else: no analytics, no advertising, never sold.
Your share picture
Made from your photo, your name, the race, your goal, your own words and the course. Anyone with your link can see it. See sharing your live tracking.
Following someone
- In a browser, the runners you follow are remembered in your browser, and nothing about you is kept.
- In the app without an account, RunFast knows your phone only by a random code the app makes. The runner sees “Someone with your link”.
- Alerts use your phone’s notification token, kept only to send the alerts you chose.
Strava
If you connect Strava, RunFast reads your Strava routes and recent runs so you can bring one in. Your Strava data is never sold or used to train AI. See connecting Strava.
Counting visits
RunFast counts page views and a few actions to see what’s useful, with no cookies and no names, emails or routes. The apps don’t count how you use them.
