I didn’t get my 6-digit code

Updated

Check your spam or junk folder for an email from hello@runfast.tech with the subject “… is your RunFast code”. Work and school email can hold it for a while. After a minute, choose Send a new code, or Continue with Google or Apple instead. Codes expire after 10 minutes, and only the newest one works.

Check these first

  1. Spam, junk and promotions folders. The email comes from hello@runfast.tech, with the subject “123456 is your RunFast code” (with your code).
  2. Work and school email. Some company and school mail systems hold email from a new sender for a while, or keep it in a quarantine folder. You can ask your IT team, or use one of the ways below.
  3. The address. The screen says “We sent a 6-digit code to …”. If there’s a typo, choose Use a different email.
  4. The newest email. Asking for a new code cancels the old one, so use the latest.

No code after a minute?

At runfast.tech/app, if no code has been typed a minute after we sent it, the code screen says “No code yet?” and offers Continue with Apple and Continue with Google right there. They don’t need a code: Apple and Google have already confirmed your email. A new Apple or Google account keeps the first and last name you typed.

Use a different email

At runfast.tech/app:

  1. Choose Use a different email.
  2. Type the address you’d like to use. If you’ve reloaded the page since you signed up, enter your password too.
  3. Choose Send the code. We send a new code to the new address.

It’s the same account: your name and password stay as they are, and nothing is left behind at the old address. The code sent to the old address stops working. You can change the address up to 3 times a day.

In the iPhone and Android apps, leaving the code screen (Use another email on iPhone, Back on Android) signs you out, so you can start again with another address.

Send a new code

Choose Send a new code. You can ask once a minute, and the button counts down until you can. You can ask up to 8 times a day, address changes included.

If you reload the page

Nothing you typed is lost. The code screen keeps your address, and your first and last name are saved to your account once your email is confirmed. If you sign out before then, the sign-up form on that browser opens with your name and email filled in.
