How many runners can I follow at once?
Updated
Up to 20, on the web and in the RunFast app. They all show on one live map, even when they’re in different races at the same time. At 20, open a runner you follow and choose Stop following before you add someone new.
Everyone on one map
Everyone you follow appears together: on runfast.tech/follow and runfast.tech/live, or the Live tab in the app. When they’re in different races, the map frames each one.
On the web, the page shows only the people you follow: “You follow 2 · 2 running now”. They’re under the name of the race they’re in, and See everyone in the race beside it opens that race’s live map, with every runner who chose to be found. A run that isn’t a race, such as a club’s training run or your own run, has no race map, so it has no link.
At the limit
When you already follow 20, RunFast says “You can follow up to 20 runners. Stop following someone first.”
Stop following someone
- Open the runner’s card.
- Choose Stop following, with their name.
They come off your list straight away. Follow them again any time from their link.
If a runner reset their link, their card says “A link stopped working”. Choose Remove it to clear it. See a link that has been reset.
Each browser has its own list
On the web, the runners you follow are remembered in that browser, so another phone or computer has its own list of up to 20. In the RunFast app, your list is kept for your phone, or in your account once you sign in.
A whole club race
A club race’s live map shows every runner from the club who chose to be found, on one page, and doesn’t count towards your 20. See a club race’s live map.
