How do I add a casual run?
Updated
Choose New run, then Casual run. Drop in a GPX, FIT or TCX file or bring a route in from Strava, give it a name, choose Every week or Once, and set the start time and your pace. Choose Save the run, and its weather at your pace opens straight away.
Add it
- Open Runs and choose New run:
- On the web: sign in at runfast.tech/app.
- In the iPhone or Android app: the Runs tab.
- Choose Casual run: “A route you run, once or every week, with its weather at your pace.”
- Fill in the form, in this order:
- The route: drop in a GPX, FIT or TCX file, or bring it in from Strava. See route files and connecting Strava.
- Name. It comes from the file; change it if you like.
- When: Every week, then tap the days, or Once, then pick the date.
- Start time.
- Your pace. See setting your pace.
- Email me its forecast the evening before: on, or switch it off. See the evening-before email.
- Where it starts and Notes, if you like.
- Choose Save the run. Its forecast opens.
Mapped it in Map your run already? Tap Save there instead, and the route, start time and pace come with it. See mapping a run.
Change or delete it
Open Runs and tap ⋯ on the run’s card:
- Open the forecast at your pace.
- Copy the link to send it to someone (runfast.tech/r/…).
- Edit to change the name, days, time or pace, or replace the route. What is it? at the top turns it into a race.
- Delete removes the run, and its link stops working. This can’t be undone.
Who can see it
Anyone you send a run’s link to sees its route and weather. Runs you bring in from Strava stay private to you.
A casual run has no live tracking. To let people follow you, make it a race. See casual run or race.
Running it with your club?
If it’s one of your club’s runs, don’t add it yourself: tap I’m in on the club’s page and it joins your runs. See joining your club’s runs.
