Private run or club run? How livedot decides
Updated
When livedot makes a run for you in ChatGPT or Claude, a run you plan for yourself is private: only you see it in RunFast. A club run is always for the club, on the club’s page once published. If you manage a club and don’t say who it’s for, livedot asks you one short question first.
The rule
| You ask for | livedot makes | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| A run for yourself, such as “my long run on Sunday” | A private run in your Runs | Only you |
| A club run or race, on a club you manage | A draft, shared with the club | Nobody until you publish; then the club’s page |
| A run or race you say is for others | A draft, shared | Nobody until you publish; then anyone with its link |
You can always say which you want: “make it private” or “it’s for the club”.
When livedot asks
If you manage a club and don’t say who a run is for, livedot asks one short question before it makes anything: is this a private run for you, or a club run? Then it makes the right one.
Private stays private
A private run is only in your own Runs. It’s never published, never on a club’s page, and livedot can’t publish it, even if asked.
Shared starts as a draft
A shared run or race starts as a draft. It goes public only when you ask livedot to publish it and confirm: then it’s on its own page at runfast.tech/r/…, and on the club’s page for a club run.
