How do I bring in routes and runs from Strava?
Updated
Connect Strava from Account on runfast.tech, or from You in the app. Then, in Runs, choose Import from Strava, or Connect with Strava on the New run form, and pick one of your Strava routes or recent runs. Routes and runs you bring in from Strava stay private to you.
Connect
- On the web: sign in at runfast.tech/app, open Account and, under Connected apps, choose Connect with Strava.
- In the iPhone and Android apps: open You and tap Strava.
Strava asks you to allow the connection. Choose Authorize, and you come back to RunFast.
Bring in a route or a run
- Open Runs and choose Import from Strava, or choose New run and, under the route box, Connect with Strava.
- Pick one of Your run routes or Your recent runs.
- Fill in the rest of the form: casual run or race, the name, when, the start time and your pace. Then save it. See adding a casual run or adding a race.
Private to you
Strava’s rules keep routes and runs from Strava to the person who made them. So a run you bring in from Strava is marked Only you:
- It never shows on a club’s page or to anyone else, and it has no link to copy.
- If it’s a race with live tracking, your followers see you, but your share picture leaves the course off, and your first and last kilometre never show.
To share a route with your club, upload its GPX file instead. See route files.
Disconnect
Open Account on the web, or You, then Strava, in the app, and choose Disconnect. Or, in Strava, go to Settings → My Apps. The connection is removed straight away. Runs you brought in stay in RunFast.
“Strava connections are full for now”
Strava limits how many people can connect for now. When the places are taken, you’ll see this message. Try again later.
