How do I set my goal and live tracking for a club race?

Updated

Tap I’m in on the club’s race first. It joins your Runs list. Then tap ⋯ on its card and choose Your goal and live tracking: add your goal time and a few words if you like, and switch on Live tracking so people can follow you. They’re your own, not the club’s.

A club race works like your own race once you’re in. The club sets the route, the date and the gun time. Your goal and your live tracking are your own.

First, tap I’m in

On the club’s page, on the race, tap I’m in: on the web at runfast.tech/c/ and the club’s name, or on the club’s screen under Clubs in the iPhone and Android apps. RunFast says “You’re in. It’s on your runs: set your goal and live tracking there.” See joining your club’s runs.

Then set your goal and live tracking

Open Runs, tap ⋯ on the race’s card and choose Your goal and live tracking. The sheet has the race’s name at the top, then “‘s race”, its date, gun time and distance, and “Your goal and live tracking are your own.”

  1. Your goal time (optional), as hours and minutes. See setting a goal.
  2. In your own words (optional): up to 60 characters, shown on your share picture.
  3. Live tracking: switch it on for your link, your share picture and Findable by anyone. See turning on live tracking.

Be on the club race’s live map

Every club race has its own live map, open to anyone. You’re on it when you’re in, with Live tracking and Findable by anyone both on. Before the gun it shows your goal; from the gun, where you are. See a club race’s live map.

Leave Findable by anyone off, and only people with your link can follow you.

“Tap I’m in on the club’s race first.”

You’ll see this if you’re not in yet. That’s true for the club’s managers too: they tap I’m in like everyone else.

Can’t make it after all?

In Runs, tap ⋯ on its card and choose I’m out. RunFast asks first: “You’re out?” The race comes off your runs, and your live tracking for it turns off. You can tap I’m in again on the club’s page any time before the race.
